Tank Cleaning
Tasks: Tank Cleaning

For many of our clients, tank cleaning often involves the removal of all existing material contained in a plant's tank followed by the chemical washing of the tank's interior.

During tank cleaning operations, Frac Tanks may serve to store any unusable product, such as hydrocarbon sludge, that is removed from the plant's tank. When the sludge must be agitated to prevent solid buildups, Mix Tanks provide four internal, high power mixers with multiple impellers. Metal Lid Boxes may be used to store the hydrocarbon material removed from the tank that will be recovered and reprocessed. This material emits highly flammable vapors, which Metal Lid Boxes restrict from exposure to the atmosphere.

After these materials are stored, Vacuum Boxes can be used to remove the remaining solids from the bottom of the tank. When it is necessary to introduce a liquid in order to remove the solids from a tank, Tidal Tank's Dewatering Boxes may then be used to separate the solids back from the liquid so that less waste material needs to be transported to a waste facility. All tanks can be used in combination with Spill Containment Berms, which ensure against any spills contaminating the environment during the tank cleaning process.

Once the tank's contents are removed, Mix Tanks and Poly Tanks are used in order to mix solutions for chemically cleaning the interior surfaces of the plant's tank. Frac Tanks, Dewatering Boxes, and Vacuum Boxes may again function at this stage in the process in order to store spent cleaning solution after it has been contaminated during such cleanings.
